BIGGA (British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association) are working with national charity Skcin to raise awareness of skin cancer and promote the prevention and early detection of the disease amongst their outdoor workers.
The BIGGA awareness pack provides greenkeepers and golfers alike with a striking visual reminder of the importance of sun protection and access to quality information to help them take charge of their own skin health and surveillance.
The pack contains 2, sturdy, A3 Strut cards, that can be wall mounted or table top displayed and 200 copies of Skcin's Sun Safety and Skin Cancer Awareness booklets. These handy, A6 (pocket sized) booklets contain a wealth of information on: the risks associated with over-exposure to UV, how to prevent skin cancer by adopting simple sun safe strategies and how to detect the early signs and symptoms of both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers.
The pack costs £32 which currently includes delivery within the UK only.
